Snow: Take Two
We went back out after Ethan's nap so he could enjoy the snow some more. (He may have even tasted it). He sat around watching it, chewing his mittens, and crawling around the yard. I guess the kid likes snow. Sorry buddy, don't get used to it.

Snow!
With all the teasing of snow we've had this year, I wasn't sure we'd actually see any today, but we did! I watched and waited for the rain and sleet to turn into snow, and when it finally did, I took E out to see it.
But then as soon as I opened the door, he saw the flakes and stared giggling and smiling. (this is the best picture I got while carrying him)Posted by Amy at 10:21 AM 0 comments

Enjoying the weather
We woke up this morning and let Avery out as usual, and noticed that A) it wasn't raining!! and B) the weather was absolutely gorgeous and warm!! I decided to take the Ethan out and show him, and he quickly discovered how fun the back deck was.
There were still a few little spots where it hadn't dried completely, and the rain (and lack of sweeping) made the deck a little dusty, but I decided boys are supposed to get dirty, so I let him roam free. He was speed-crawling all over the place, splashing in the water, and reaching out into the grass to grab sticks and leaves, and loving every second of it. I even brought his alligator push walker out so he could do a couple laps because there is a lot more space out there than inside. So, he had fun, and we enjoyed watching him get dirty for the first of many times ahead. Oh, and we also enjoyed the LONG nap that followed.
Here's some pictures we snapped:

TEN months!!
Yeppers, Ethan Bear is now ten whole months old. Amazing. I'll try to refrain from the usual "oh my goodness, my baby is growing up so fast," and just catch you up on life with Ethan.
His personality is still growing every day. You saw the laugh, and it's still a regular occurance. He's gotten lots of attention for the laugh. He does it at home a lot, and sometimes when we're out, and people just love it. He's such a goof ball. His dancing is still going strong as well, he'll shimmy and shake pretty much every time he hears music. His favorite music to dance to is 50's, 40's, and the song his Pooh car plays. He also likes to sing sometimes too, but usually only in church when we're singing too.
He's not walking yet, and I'm liking it. He crawls and cruises fast enough already, I need the walking to hold off a little while, at least until it gets warm enough to run around outside. He loves crawling though, especially when he's being chased. If we say, "Ethan, I'm gonna get you," he takes off crawling and laughing until you catch him. Of course, sometimes he crawls toward us instead of away, but it makes him happy, so whatev. He also loves torturing poor Avery (the dog). He'll crawl over to him to pet him (read, grab his fur and pull) or snuggle against him, and Avery will just get up and walk away. I kind of feel sorry for both of them, Ethan just wants to play, and old man Avery just wants to be left alone.
Hmm, what else? He still loves to read, and turn pages for us. Oh, and his eating has gotten better. He feeds himself finger foods a lot, as long as he approves of them, of course. He's still pretty skinny though, and can wear a range of sizes, although most of his tops are 6-9 months and his bottoms are 12 months (the cloth diaper helps them stay up, or else they'd be too big around the waist).
I can't think of much else to say, but I do of course have pictures. He hung in there for these pretty well, until he found the sticker on his shirt and proceeded to eat it. Which reminds me, he now has a total of 6 teeth, one of which has just come in, so I think that made chewing the sticker all the more tempting. Okay, ten month pictures:
